The Feast of the Sacrifice: What You Need to Know

The religious Feast of Sacrifice, Eid al-Adha, is provisionally expected to take place around May 27, 2026. If you wish, as a private individual, to place an order with a butcher at FOODMET for this occasion, click here to view the contact details of these shops.

It is not possible to bring live sheep for slaughter on site. If you wish to have a bovine animal slaughtered, we invite you to contact ABACO, which operates the Anderlecht slaughterhouse. The company is responsible for the transport of live animals as well as the slaughter process.

In our FOODMET food hall, which will exceptionally remain open later than usual on the day following the prayer (until 6:00 PM), you may contact the following butcher shops:

  • MACHA ALLAH VIANDES (butchery V04): tel. 02/524 62 41 - e mail
  • AMAR-K (butchery V16): tel. 02/521 14 86 - e mail - website :  https://boucherie-amar.be
  • BAMS (butchery V09) : tel. 02/523 99 07 - e mail
  • ETCI-VIANDE (butchery V02) : e mail (no phone number)

For the collection of orders by car, it is recommended to access the parking via Quai de l'Industrie 168 in Anderlecht, along the canal, and proceed to the parking area behind Foodmet (see plan below).
