On 29 May 2015, a new Food Hall will be opened in Brussels: the FOODMET, your tasty Food Market!
This shopping area will give shelter to more then 50 stores that will sell food and only food. The entire area is on ground level and its roof will be used for installing an 'Urban Farm' with small gardens and greenhouses for growing vegetables and herbs. The Foodmet is unique in Brussels. In FOODMET, you will find 17 butcheries, a fish market, different stalls with (exotic) fruit and vegetables, bakeries, olives, nuts, fine meat. Eat and shop in Foodmet: the Bistro Brussel is available for a drink during your visit. Other snacks are also opened (pizza, thai, fish & chips, pasta corner,...).
Each Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. The FOODMET is also opened on holidays.

The ERDF's intervention in the infrastructure works for this new Foodmet food hall amounts to €7.5 million, 50% of which has been covered by the European authorities and 50% by the Region.
